What were our highlights of 2021? ✨

We went viral after appearing on Dragon’s Den ✊

Without a doubt, our appearance on Dragon’s Den was a game changer. We won over two dragons 🐉🐉, Touker gave us an office 👌 and Sam’s pitch has now reached over 20 million views 🤯. Months later, he is still being recognised and stopped in the street!

… and we were all over the news 📰

Post Dragon’s Den, Sam has appeared on Sky News, BBC’s Morning Live, and we’ve been covered by over 40 different press outlets 🗞. Not bad.

Tinie, Tej Lalvani and Harry Redknapp invested 🎉

We got the backing of some influential, high-profile people – including footballing legend, Harry Redknapp ⚽️.

What’s more, in a Dragon’s Den first, Tej Lalvani tracked us down and joined us as our third dragon 🐉🐉🐉 .

If that wasn’t awesome enough, Tinie then slid into our DMs 😲. After seeing Sam pitch to the Dragons, he wanted to get involved and has since joined us at Web Summit, taking the stage with Sam and supporting us all the way 🙌.

The Gener8 team kept on growing! 🚀

Touker originally offered us an office for 4 people… but 4 has since become 13 and we continue to grow (sorry Touker, hope you don’t mind) 🙌.

The additional new talent signal that we’re leveling up: improving the marketplace, improving the browser, and building the highly anticipated Gener8 for Mobile app 📱.

We told our story on the Centre Stage at Web Summit 🎤

Back in October, our Founder, Sam was invited to speak at Web Summit in Portugal. On the Centre stage, the Gener8 story was told in front of 30,000 people (an audience including the inventor of the World Wide Web, Sir Tim Berners-Lee, no less).

Tinie came along for the ride too, joining Sam on stage, for interviews and press conferences 🙌.

We launched Auctions and Mystery Boxes 🎁

We launched new and exciting ways for Gener8ers to redeem rewards with bid-up auctions and mystery boxes 🙌. So far, we’ve held over 140 auctions with awesome giveaways including; West End tickets, indoor skydiving, supercar driving and so much more 🏎.

We started building our mobile app 📱

The question on everyone’s lips this year has been, ‘when will Gener8 be available on mobile?’. Well, we won’t give away too many spoilers… but you can expect to see the Gener8 app launch in 2022 📱🚀.
