FACIAL PALSY UK
Set up in 2012, Facial Palsy UK is a small UK charity supporting people affected by facial paralysis.
Facial palsy is a condition resulting from damage, absence or impairment of the facial nerve that supplies the muscles of facial function and expression. It can affect blinking, closing the eye for sleep, eating and drinking, speech, smiling and frowning. Facial palsy can be the result of multiple causes: disease, injury, stroke, birth trauma, cancer or neurological condition – to name but a few. Whatever the cause, the physical, emotional and psychological consequences are usually the same and equally devastating for those affected.
Facial Palsy UK’s mission is for every person in the UK affected by facial palsy to be given access to the best information, treatment and support available. You can help them provide this support by simply donating Gener8 points this month on rewards.
BLUE CROSS
Founded in the UK in 1897, Blue Cross is a charity that provides veterinary care, offers expert behavioural help, and finds homes for pets in need 🐾.
Blue Cross aim to provide expert veterinary care, advice and education to help promote the welfare of pets and their human companions. Their focus is on animals that are in need because they are sick or have been abandoned, neglected, injured or abused. They also target all those who care for these animals, providing support when needed through pet bereavement counselling and a range of other services.
THE TRUSSELL TRUST
In the UK, more than 14 million people are living in poverty – including 4.5 million children which has only been exacerbated by the cost of living crisis.
The Trussell Trust is an NGO and charity that works to end the need for food banks in the UK by campaigning for long-term change to the structural issues that lock people into poverty. They support more than 1300 food banks across the UK to provide a minimum of three days of nutritionally balanced emergency food.
