Browser tips & tricks: How to create a reading list

If your browser bar is full to the brim with thousands of open tabs:
  1. You need to check out our browser tips & tricks on how to group your tabs
  2. You need a way to save those unread articles for later. Be honest with yourself, there’s no way you’re reading them now… they are merely a tiny icon cluttering your browser bar 👩‍💻

Long reads, academic journals, blogs and online news 📖 more than ever, we are consuming huge amounts of online content. In 2020, more than two thirds of Brits were either reading or downloading online news, newspapers or magazines – more than three times the amount of people doing so in 2007. If you often find yourself opening an attention grabbing article with every intention to read it, but not enough time to digest it there and then, the Gener8 Browser has a feature for you.

How to create a reading list on the Gener8 Browser:

🧑‍💻 Open up your Gener8 Browser and find the most clickbait article you can find. One that will make you think, ‘I’ll definitely want to read this later’

📖 Look to the top right-hand corner of the browser, and just below the Gener8 icon select ‘Reading List’

➕  Once selected, a pop-out box will appear. Click ‘+ Add current tab’ to save that article for later 👌

🤓 To view your collection of saved articles, all you’ll need to do is select the ‘Reading List’ icon again

↕️ Unread articles will always be at the top of the list, while you can also revisit content you have read if you scroll to the bottom.

🖱 If you want to mark an article as read, hover your cursor over it and click ✔️. If you decide that the article with the clickbait title was in fact, clickbait, you can also remove it from your list by clicking the ❌.

It’s as simple as that! A small but mighty feature, allowing you to save and access articles when you’re ready to go back to them 🙌.
