Charities
Havens Hospices
Havens Hospices provides specialist palliative care for children and adults, at home and through their hospice services, Fair Havens, Little Havens and in the community. They provide 24-hour nursing and emotional support to help people live life to the full whilst living with a serious or life-limiting condition. You don’t pay a penny for their care services but they can only be delivered because of the generosity of the local community.
Disasters Emergency Committee
The floods in Pakistan are the worst in their history. Thousands have died and many more are missing. Homes, livelihoods and villages have been swept away. Millions of people have been left homeless, hungry and in urgent need of food, clean water, medical aid and shelter.
DEC charities are working directly or through local partners to help provide food, temporary shelter, medical aid, clean water and sanitation but more funds are urgently needed to help families get through the crisis.
- £10 could provide vital hygiene supplies for two people
- £50 could provide emergency shelter for two families
- £100 could provide food for two families for a month
RSPCA
The RSPCA were the first to introduce a law to protect animals and are on a mission to ensure that all animals can live free from pain and suffering.
Through their campaigns they raise standards of care, and awareness of issues, affecting animals today. They rely on public support to help push for changes in the law to improve the welfare of animals on farms, in labs, in the wild and in our homes.
Animals rely on the RSPCA when they need them most. By rehabilitating and offering the very best veterinary care, they help animals in need find new homes.
